2020 Draft Class Review: #3 Dallas Cowboys

The #3 draft class of 2020 features one of the best wide receivers in the league, a ballhawk cornerback, and a Pro Bowl center.

With the 17th pick, CeeDee Lamb was selected as the third wide receiver off the board. After a 935-yard rookie season, all his rookies have just gotten better each and every year. His 2023 season was one of the best of all times, leading the league in catches (135) and second in yards (1,749) and touchdowns (12). He is a top 5 receiver in this league, a true WR1 and is lined up to be the richest receiver in the league, but not til next year as his fifth-year option was picked up.

Second-rounder Trevon Diggs has been immediate impact player since day one as a rookie. An ultimate ballhawk, he led the league in interceptions with 11 in 2021, the most in a season since 1979, and was named first-team All-Pro. After a Pro Bowl year in 2022, he signed a five-year extension that made him the fourth-highest-paid CB in the league. He only played in two games last year as he tore his ACL during practice, but Diggs will return as one of the top CBs in the league.

Neville Gallimore has been a middle of the pack defensive tackle his four years, playing around 30-40% of snaps a season.

Reggie Robinson was a healthy scratch most of his rookie year, spent his second year on injured reserve and was released. He was claimed by teams twice that offseason and has been out of the league.

After only starting four games as a backup as a rookie, Tyler Biadasz earned the starting center job his second year and has been their guy since, earning a Pro Bowl nod in 2022.

Bradlee Anae spent two years with the team and has been with the Jets since. Ben DiNucci was the third-stringer as a rookie, and even had to start a game after injuries to Dak Prescott and Andy Dalton. He spent his second season on the practice squad, then released the year after. After a season with the XFL as the passing leader, he joined the Broncos and spent last year on the practice squad.

Terence Steele made the final roster as an undrafted rookie, and was named the Week 1 starting right tackle after a season-ending injury to La’el Collins, and went on to start 14 games. He entered as a backup in 2021, but was the starter again after Collins was suspended five games. He also started several games at left tackle for an injured Tyron Smith and finished with 13 starts. He was named the full-time starter in 2022, but missed the final four games with a torn ACL and MCL. Before last season, he signed a five-year extension as the eighth-highest-paid tackle, starting all 17 games.
